Police Searching For Suspect In Mays Landing Shooting

Police in Hamilton Township are looking for whoever shot a man late at night on Sunday, Jan. 7.

Township police responded to a report of shots fired in the Pineland Gardens housing development on Route 40 in Mays Landing at around 11:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old man with two gunshot wounds. He was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment.

The victim says the shots were fired from a black sedan of an unknown make and model. No suspects have been identified yet and the investigation is ongoing.
